A 2024 S650 GT came in for a caliper refresh. Owner wanted the calipers brighter without spending Brembo BBK money. The answer was a high-grade reflective vinyl wrap from @rvinyl in yellow, applied over the factory Brembos.
Why vinyl over paint
Caliper paint runs $400+ in materials and labor and locks you into one color for years. A reflective vinyl wrap is removable, cheaper, and pops under headlights from any angle. If the owner changes their mind it peels off clean.
Process
- Wheels off, calipers degreased.
- Reflective yellow vinyl pre-cut to caliper profile.
- Heat-applied around the curves, knife-trimmed at the edges.
- Wheels back on, torqued to spec.
